gtofani 36 #1 Posted March 16, 2017 What engine should I look for for my 67 Lawn Ranger. Would like max power and still use the hood without cutting.
Racinbob 10,199 #2 Posted March 16, 2017 You should be able to fit a Kohler K-181 on there by not using the riser plate that's under the Tecky.

littleredrider 408 #4 Posted March 16, 2017 I had a Kohler 8 horse on a ranger I had years ago, and was my first Kohler and didn't know how to adjust the governor. With throttle all the way open, the motor was only 1/4 maybe 3/8s throttle. But with the plow on in 3rd gear, if the blade dug in it would lift the front tires of the ground. Torque is an understatement!!! Awesome motors...But I had another ranger with a 13 horse harbor freight engine too....that was a fun machine...
