@WHX9 Sorry no stack, I believe that's why at 45 I'm hard of hearing, dad ran a straight pipe (chrome vacuum cleaner tube) on that 7hp Kohler Cub Cadet Original ,it sang a tune every summer mowing, @Ed Kennell, it's close but not quite chrome, and custom repaint and decals are in the plans for this one too, Jeff.

My forgotten 520H needs the same repair @WVHillbilly520H , don't look to be a to hard of a fix . $150 for a used one is ridiculous  .

Don't worry @WHX9 I'm going to make make one more turn and go up with a stack .

@ACman, yep gravy job except for actually removing said muffler from tractor as the heatshields have to come off then a cut off disc on a 4 1/2" grinder flush with the original weld as the elbow was "scrap' from work then a couple tack welds before completely welding it fast 2 new exhaust gaskets and back together for hopefully another 20+ years, Jeff.

Jeff,

What kind of welder did you use? If Mig, what wire size and settings roughly? I had to use really low voltage and wire feed with FC Wire on an exhaust or thin metal and I still burn through here and there. I'm going to invest some gas I think and use the .024 wire that I have.

Flux core. 030" wire on 110 volt 30+ year old Craftsman Mig, mine has high and low output set to high and wire speed set at high end of "normal welding" on dial, sorry can't be of more help, see even my welder is old like my :wh:s, Jeff.

Where did you acquire the exhaust flanges?  Did you make them?
