Don't ask me why...

Recommended Posts

HeyMrP

Just bought this A-90. Not sure why! Now I'm wondering what I should do with it. Fix it up? Part it out? Keep it along with my 310? The fella I got it from says he parked it running 8-10 years ago. It's been sitting behind his barn all these years. The motor is not locked. Opinions?

At first glance I agreed with my dog....Ruff!

But the more I look at the photo, I see it might not need all that much to get it running, and put to work.

I hope you keep us posted on the project.:flags-waveusa:

Oh my. I've seen worse, and I've seen them fully restored. At the WHCC show last year there were several in various conditions. It would be quite a project though, but if you have time...

well of coarse its up to you,how much time do you have,i personally don't have enough time to do my real horses let alone a vert shaft, and I would not put any cash into one either,id spend my time on a garden tractor, but that's only my opinion

If it was mine, I'd get her runnin' and use it as is.  Maybe find a mower deck.  It would be a good back up tractor or use to pull a dump cart, let the kids drive around, etc.

      Hi all,
I am new here and am wondering if $100 dollers is good for this A-90. Just needs a battery. I am also wondering if this would be good for a pulling tractor. Thanks.

A fellow told me he had a friend that had a WH and wanted to get rid of it.
I call the guy, he drags it out of the barn and this is what it is......Don't know what he wants for it, but I really have no desire to own this.....

Hi my name is Chris and I purchased my first Wheel Horse two weeks ago. I have what I think is a 1974 WH A90 Special. This is a project for my self and my five year old son. My plan is to tear the horse down rebuild the B&S 8HP motor and getting everything back in working order. I currently have the tractor down to the frame and just need to take the tranny out. Motor runs but smokes, also I think I have issues with the tranny. When I spin one wheel while lifted the other wheels spins in the same direction.

I have been reading post after post and it is amazing the help that everyone on this forum provides. Cant want to get my Horse back together again.

Thanks ahead of time for all the help I know I will receive.

      Chris
