Thank you sir !  I will throw this one out there for the railroad buffs. The experimental steam turbine operated by the Norfolk & Western was named after this man. It would be N&Ws last effort at staying with steam power.

My grandkids grew up watching all of the "I Love Toy Trains" videos, which were as much about real trains as they were about model railroading. I'm sure that the name was mentioned, but I'll be dipped if can remember. Names like Hiawatha, Tom Thumb, Cannonball, all come to mind, but nothing with a man's name. This one is for someone else. :scratchead:

Would that be Casey Jones? That is the only Rail Road name that came to mind.

You are the grand prize winner !!! It was actually called the " jawn henry" but was named after John Henry. It was an idea that never quite worked out like so many others. Unfortunately I don't know is responsible for the prizes here. Nice guess Digger.

On to music .

Sting , singer / bass guitar for The Police .

His real name is ?

Some of our brothers from across the pond may know this one too.

A lot of ironies here. Sting was born the same month and year as my wife. Sting plays bass guitar. I played bass in a band in the 1970's. Sting was in a band called The Police. I have been pulled over for speeding by the police. I know his first name, but cannot remember the last name. So I am going to wait and see if anyone else answers before I give a partial answer.
