Elmer pond and his Brother Harold and one other man worked at Shaw for many years. Elmer went on to produce "Pond" tractors, Harold started "Speedx" and the third man went on to produce "Garden Master" tractors. What was the third man's name?

This was covered in a This Day post on Elmer's birthday.

Well, since nobody wants to answer this one, I will. And as Dick said, all you have to do is read RedSquare. The answer is right there. No Google.

So here is an easy one for every Wheel Horse aficionado.

What was the first Wheel Horse garden tractor with a front mounted engine?

This excludes Ponds, Seniors or lever steers.

That would be the 701. :)

That was too easy Bob :D

Let's go back to the theme that started this thread.

During the space shuttle years NASA signed up USA as the prime contractor to support flight operations for the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs. What does USA stand for?

Close Jim. Here's a hint. A friend who used to work there gave me one of their cool shirts with the Space Shuttle on the back. :ROTF:

Dang it...The suspense was killing me so I cheated and :text-google: it.....:hide:  I am so stupid I had a hard time finding it then! In my race for the chicken dinner I misread your question!  I'll ungracefully bow out!

I did know the 701 answer but you beat me by 2 minutes.... story of my horse thieving too!

It's like Jeopardy. I'll never forget the outtakes episode where a contestant could never ring in with his button. He would click it, someone else would beat him, then he'd look at it, shake his head, then after about 5 minutes of this he started beating the button on the podium. Alex Trebeck went to commercial, they replaced his button and he still lost.

United Shuttle Agency? ( I stopped following NASA some when the shuttle program started. A lot of the old guard slide-rule guys left the control room.) :(

The shuttle missions became pretty dear to us not only because we could see the launch from the front yard but because we became close friends with a couple shortly after we moved down here that worked for USA. Just before the 2011 launch of Endeavour they had a big shindig and the employees were allowed to bring one friend with them. Perfect. The two of them and the two of us. We got to go where non employees could never go and were actually touching the Endeavour. It was an incredible day. We got to sign a massive banner that went up with it. It was suppose to be the final mission but they ended up flying Atlantis one more time. :)

Sorry Digger. Jim was close, Mike was a bit colder and it's going in the wrong direction.

Either.

So, keeping it in the poultry theme, here is the next question:

How many eyelids does a chicken have on each eye?
