Cleaning up Galvanize metals?

Yeah I'm not real happy with the color and it does seem to scrape off easily. I still need to make a move on the attachment rods for the plow and springs as well as the adjustment handle and linkages... Thought about just spraying them with a light metallic coloring and calling it a day.

FYI- I just went ahead and used Rust Fix as a primer and then used Rustoleum Rust Stop Metallic Aluminum finish. Turned out beautiful! The only parts that will get beat on are the pins for the snow plow to hold it on the frame pivot and the springs to the frame pivot to plow... The other pieces were the angel adjust pin lock lever and pin lock pivot plate down by the base of the angle adjust arm...
