Stay warm

This thread is a great reminder why I live in Texas!  My sons home so Ill take him Wakeboarding this afternoon

Plenty warm in the cab. I was in Texas in 1980, the great Texas heat wave, 100 degrees for weeks.

I don't like heat. Was drilling for oil, 2nd shift, plus extra 3rd or 1st shift when someone didn't show up.

At night on the deck was a four foot fan (propeller) to blow away the flies so we could breath.

I watched the clowns on the Weather Channel off and on all day yesterday and the progress of the storm - be careful with the temps that are coming .

I knew there would be some pictures this morning of the aftermath - thanks for that, the highlight of my day so far .

Dude, you have the herd I'm envious of, I need to find me a NOS looking low hour 520 to complete my trifecta, plus I've only plowed once this winter a whopping 1.5" off the blacktop last week just so it would melt, Jeff.

                                                                                                    :text-yeahthat:

Some guys get all the seat time...and that 520 does look happy.

Maybe we should all take a road trip to Woodville Jeff. Looks like that may be our best chance to get some plow time.

BTW, I see you have your blade at max vertical.  Do you find that to be the best position?

Thank you Jeff. The 1995 520H with plow has 1136 hrs. On 8/5/2017 it had 1117 hrs.

The blade at max vertical works best for my driveway for scraping and picture mode. :)

I'm assuming the white cover on the engine is a heat collector for the cab.     Can you show some details?  I have one on my 520, but only on the rear cylinder.

Thanks for the pics.  I bet your cab really stays warm.         Mine only collects the rear cylinder  heat and it stays 30 F above the  outside temp.    I did vent the belt guard though.

We got 1.4" on Tue with a strong North wind that stacked up drifts to 1.5'.    I got about 2 hours on the 312 cleaning up 4 driveways and mailboxes.

The PennDot  plows have the snow packed in front of the mailboxes.     I am always amazed at what this tractor will push.   Those rubber chains and the foot control are the bomb.

Had about 3" here before noon and the rain, used the new to me 54" plow to clear the asphalt so it wouldn't freeze over tonight and can melt out tomorrow.
