Redisbest 22 #1 Posted January 15, 2017 For those who have or have had a 522xi....Where does your engine temp indicator typically read in winter....27 deg today and mine never left the yellow during snowblowing 6" of powder....I thought it would get in the green for sure....Wondering if eng temp sending unit is working correctly...Boy she throws snow a LONG way.

shallowwatersailor 3,213 #3 Posted January 17, 2017 If you have used the tractor for mowing or have mice that may have made a nest, the heads may be clogged with material. The left head is usually the problem given the engine rotation and cooling fan. My 520xi that I bought used would run hot, even in the winter, until I cleaned it.
LRE 8 #4 Posted January 25, 2017 The sensor is on the left side in the bottom of the engine.. the sensor itself is no longer available from toro.
