Lift tube & Lift flag Question SnoBlower

Recommended Posts

stumpkicker

I have the blower and the lift tube, the Lift flag I believe is what is at the end.

Now I have seen the pictures on the site by Sparky and I see a chain connected to (what ?) and the lift flagconnected to what ?<<<<<<<<<

I think I am missing a part or two!

Can I get a name of the part I am missing or measurements to make my own?

Looks kinda simple to make. Thats what I like about Wheelhorse!

((((((( Simple but Logical ))))))))

Can't figure out why the 12hp Kohler has more power then the 20hp Onan.!

Then in the past...

Seems like the 12hp Kohler should be classified as around 35hp just by the power it posesses. Hum Just an off the wall guess!

I have a D160 with a front loader also but perfer the smaller tractor it can do more without a struggle!

Thanks ahead of time> JimmyG< New here 2 days ago!

The lift arm connects to a rocker arm (bell crank). This has 2 tangs - One points forward and provides up/down motion. This is used for the mower deck, snow plow etc.

The other tang points mostly down. It has 2 or 3 holes deoending on the horse.

Yours should have 3 holes - the top 2 holes can be used for the blower.

The flag has a stud sticking out and this inserts into the whole on the rocker arm and gets pinned on the other side.

 and I hope this helps

Second, depending on which snow blower you have and which wheel horse, you may have only the option of connecting the flag to the top most hole, which is the third. On my 312-8 I had it in the middle one and was constantly breaking hitch pins and having problems, also the lifting was a bear, not bad for me, but the wife could not do it. Now that I have it in the topmost hole the lifting is so easy makes me wonder if I need the spring assist lift.

If you have any more quesitons feel free to ask, some great guys here with loads of info. TT, Teddy bear and many others are a fount of info!
