Marv 845 #1 Posted January 6, 2017 Has anybody put together a list of bolt part numbers by size? Marvin
Pollack Pete 2,273 #2 Posted January 6, 2017 Honestly, why bother. Most bolts are available at any hardware store. Most are pretty easy to obtain.
Aldon 4,826 #3 Posted January 6, 2017 I Agree with Pete. Although a list of unique bolts and sizes might be somewhat useful. like the fine threaded lug bolts and bolts that seat the electric PTO clutches to the crank. And these two examples were not too unique.
rmaynard 14,864 #4 Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) When doing a complete restoration, I purchased all of my stainless steel and zinc plated bolts and nuts from BoltDepot.com. They have most everything, are inexpensive, and you can order a little as one bolt and still get a great price. Shipping is reasonable when you order large quantities. Having said that, that did not answer your question. I don't know that it would be possible to do what you asked, considering that most parts lists only describe the item as "bolt" or "screw" or "nut", and very few lists offered actual sizes. When I do my restores, I remove a fastener, note the size, and mark it on a photocopy of the parts list. I do not trust my memory to remember where a particular fastener went. cleat 4,936 #5 Posted January 6, 2017 Well, my parts diagrams for the 520 shows bolt size and length. Check your manuals, they may list the bolt sizes.
WHX?? 46,690 #6 Posted January 6, 2017 Never ordered from them Bob @rmaynard but may give it a shot if you say you have good luck with them. Getting kind of old paying 30 bucks for a small bag of SS from Ace. 1 hour ago, rmaynard said: I remove a fastener, note the size, and mark it on a photocopy of the parts list. I've not looked at my parts manuals recently but that's the way I remember them also. It's gives the size for most standard fasteners.

My 416-H does not, nor does the parts manual for my 1977 B-100's. I found it is hit or miss with bolt sizes.
