Skeeters65 45 #1 Posted January 5, 2017 Hey guys I'm looking for the bolt that hold the front end onto the frame on my Suburban 400. Is it anything special? If not anyone know what size I need? Had to torch mine out. Thanks
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,478 #2 Posted January 5, 2017 If you look at the parts list the hardware is shown on top of the tractor frame at the front Item 46 part # 1270 is a 1/4-20 x 3/8" round head stove bolt (thinking that may be short) Item 79 part # 1067 is a 1/4" external tooth shakeproof washer Item 64 part # 1119 is a 1/4" SAE flat washer (9/32" ID x 5/8" OD) Garry
Racinbob 10,256 #3 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) Are you talking about the front axle? If so it's item #51. I think it's 1/2" but I'm not sure and I can't get to mine to measure it. It may be a little larger. I'm sure somebody has one they can measure for you. Garry, those parts are for holding the hood in place. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,478 #4 Posted January 5, 2017 Item 51 is part number 1287 which depending where you look comes up as a 1/2"-13 x 2-3/4" cap screw or 5/8"-11 x 1-1/2" cap screw. Don't see a nut in the 400 parts list. Went to the model 401 and the same 1287 bolt comes up as a 1/2"-13 x 2-3/4" cap screw. The 1026 nut comes up as a 1/2"-13 jamb nut which usually are about 1/2 the depth of a regular nut. I would think the 1/2" is the correct one. Garry
