To vague a question, it would depend on the rim offset and rim width. Also I have some cast weights that are flush with the rim...I've seen the plastic ones that stick out a couple inches. All these things affect the bolt lengths.

Edit your post or at least add what rims and what weights your using.

On a lot of my wheel weights, I used 1/2 inch threaded rod and then cut them to the length I need.  Be sure you use lock nuts on the inside of the rims with either lock nuts or split washers on the outside to prevent a nut from backing off and causing some problems.  Don't ask how I know.:(

I went to tractor supply and bought 10 inch 5/8 carriage bolts for the plastic weights then put double nuts on the out side then I took my grinder with a cut off wheel and cut of even with the out side nut worked for me.

I have had plastic and cast weights on various rim sizes, what fits one normally doesnt fit the other. 10 inch bolts and a hacksaw solves all the problems.

TSC pricing on zinc coated carriage bolts is excellent.

Why not push the weight to the wheel and measure the required length?

While we're at it, although I have steel and plastic weights, easy 'enough to make some using discarded brake drums.
