Hacksawhero123 351 #1 Posted November 5, 2016 Has anyone tried using a stock Harley muffler on one of the larger Kohler singles? My neighbors are no longer enthusiastic about my feat of getting the C160 running. Mark
953 nut 51,018 #2 Posted November 5, 2016 Works great, has a soft mellow tone. I used a belled pipe coupling to go from 1" to 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" muffler clamp.
lynnmor 6,706 #3 Posted November 5, 2016 Should be hundreds of thousands of Harley mufflers available for cheap or free. Anyone ever see (hear) a Harley with a stock muffler?

There should be no restriction problems using a stock HD muffler. If you can get one with a turn out then you don't have to worry too much about having the end covered when it rains. Mine lays flat, but even when installed vertically a turn out will help keep the rain water out.
