New to me 314-8

Indywheelhorsenut and I were able to come to a mutually agreeable price on his low hour 314-8 and I added a tractor to the herd my wife could mow with.  She's been mad at me ever since I sold the 520H and bought a zero turn.  It doesn't have near the grunt of the 161 or the 520 but it is incredibly quiet. As soon as as my wife's anger of owning another horse subsidies I think she'll really like it.

I had a '98 314-8 a few years back.  Sold it to a missionary in Guatamala.  Good story on that.

Craig good deal on your new  , BTW the P.O. of the 2stage blower I bought last year ran it on a 314-8 then a newer 315-8 so it may not be a twin cylinder 520 it's still hard to beat those single lung Kohlers in a WH and it looks like a 42" deck shouldn't be any problems spinning that, oh and that "fancy" weight bracket should fit too ,Jeff.

Nice and congrats !  I recently acquired  a  315-8 with 400 hrs, I initially bought it for just the 41" deck so my wife could get back to cutting grass with our older 310-8, but it is so nice it has become "her" machine just for cutting grass. 

 

It's smart for us to keep the ladies happy !
