SylvanLakeWH 24,078 #2 Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) No expert, but looks like a 60-61 Suburban...? A lot smarter folks than I will be along shortly to get you the exact model... SEE WHAT I MEAN _ STEVASAURUS IS ONE OF THOSE "SMARTER FOLKS'...GO WITH HIS ID ANY DAY OF THE WEEK... Edited October 16, 2016 by SylvanLakeWH
stevasaurus 22,229 #3 Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) It is a 1958/9 RJ with a #5003 transmission. Even thought the trans seems locked, it can be cleaned and become workable. Don't try to free up the trans by pushing it, you could break teeth in the differential. Better to just open it up and clean and fix it. Price is up to you...it does look to be in good shape. N3PUY 1,031 #8 Posted October 16, 2016 Since it is just a lawn decoration I bet he would be happy with $50.
AMC RULES 36,940 #9 Posted October 16, 2016 Wear your mask... as the hood by itself...is worth more than that.
Gasser 24 #10 Posted October 16, 2016 Is it worth $150?

wallfish 15,905 #17 Posted October 17, 2016 Did you buy it? Search for a 4 hp Kohler K91. They're around.
Gasser 24 #18 Posted October 17, 2016 Yes..ok cool I'll look around thanks..does it appear to be missing any other important parts besides the engine and I believe the belt cover and maybe foot rests?not sure if they came with them

Foot rests didn't come along until 1960, but lots of folks use them in RJs; no harm.
AlwaysLookin80 1,308 #20 Posted October 17, 2016 Joe papke has the belt covers. A k90 Kohler or Clinton 1200 will also work besides the k91.
Gasser 24 #21 Posted October 17, 2016 Great thank you..do the front tires look to be right for this model?I also noticed that the that the front spindles are threaded with a nut..would that be correct for this model?
AMC RULES 36,940 #22 Posted October 17, 2016 (edited) Front tires and rims are incorrect... and the spindles shouldn't be threaded. Edited October 17, 2016 by AMC RULES
Gasser 24 #23 Posted October 17, 2016 I didn't think so..wonder why someone did that..what would be the closest color red that I can get to the original?
stevasaurus 22,229 #24 Posted October 17, 2016 If that is original paint, I don't think you want to paint it. At the top of the Restoration section you will find this thread that totally covers everything you ever wanted to know about Wheel Horse paints.

At the top of the Restoration section you will find this thread that totally covers everything you ever wanted to know about Wheel Horse paints. Looks repainted to me. The pitting on the hood is painted over red and the frame is turning pink (cheap rattle can) and the steering rod is white. It's been repainted. No harm in painting this one. The front wheels/hubs have been changed, but don't look all that bad. I'd leave them alone and just change out the front tires. Unique shows character. Some tires, engine, and a little paint and you have a nice toy. It also looks like someone notched the frame under the engine for some reason? I'd fix that. Weak spot.
