Steam-O-Rama wash out

Recommended Posts

Ed Kennell

This is the second year this event was hampered by major rain.    The hilly location compounds the problems when the grounds get muddy.

Ericj,  are you going this year ??         Maybe I'll take a load over on Saturday if the rain tapers off.

Hey Ed,

I was planning to go Saturday.   If the rain lets up soon, maybe it won't be too wet.   See you there.

Was planning on heading there Friday morning, but if the radar shows rain in the area or headed that way, I will scrap those plans.

With it raining here now, and a forecast of rain all day at the show area, I'm staying put right here. Maybe next year will be better. :(

I hear Ya Bob.    I'm only 5 mile away, so I may run over tomorrow if I see a break in the rain.

I really  feel sorry for the folks that put he show together.   Has to be discouraging to be rained out two years in a row.

If it is not raining tomorrow. Karen and I are planning to go. I need to find a 520 hood and rear fender at a good price.

Heavy rain has stopped, and the wind is drying things out.  Just light drizzle this afternoon and tomorrow.    I'm going, but I'm driving my 4 wheel drive, and wearing mud boots.

Yeh, it's too bad the weather didn't cooperate.    I got there around noon.   Only about 20% of the exhibitors that would have been there in good weather.    Saw about four WH collectors club members, and only about 10 Wheel Horses.   Hopefully, weather will be better next year.

Sorry I missed you Jim.    I was leaving about the time you got there.    It was a poor turnout.  Really feel bad for the exhibitors and organizers.

Eric had about 90% of the :wh: tractors there.

With the rain forecast Wednesday through Saturday, I figured it was going to be a wash out so I kept my horses in the barn. Missed this show two years in a row now. Gotta be better weather next year... hopefully.
