SylvanLakeWH 24,093 #2 Posted August 28, 2016 Cool photo! Someone with more knowledge will get you a make and model shortly, I have no doubt... Post it in the Wheel Horse Picture Gallery / Member Pictures as well - very cool stuff in there...
AMC RULES 36,945 #3 Posted August 28, 2016 Them round hoods stopped production in '64. You should post them in here too...

AMC RULES 36,945 #5 Posted August 28, 2016 Looking through here might help you nail it down... resembles to me...the last year...'64 model 854. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/19-1955-to-1964/
953 nut 51,541 #6 Posted August 28, 2016 Judging by the size of the muffler I would guess it is an 854. Thanks for sharing.
squonk 38,848 #7 Posted August 28, 2016 I was going to say 64 as it has the round deck,
rmaynard 14,865 #8 Posted August 28, 2016 When a picture is scanned it loses some of the detail. Take a close look at your original picture and see if you can read the number on the belt guard. At least the last digit would reveal the date.
Jake Kuhn 1,547 #9 Posted August 28, 2016 Looks to be a 1963 model to me. has the 62/63 steering wheel, but has the newer front axle so would be a 63. 753 would of been generator start and I believe I see a recoil handle sticking out. My Vote would be a 653 or possibly a 633,but I don't think it would of used the round air cleaner, but it is still kind of hard to tell from that picture.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,337 #10 Posted August 28, 2016 You guys must have better eyes than I do. All I can tell is that it's a Wheel Horse round hood.
Wheel-N-It 2,967 #11 Posted August 28, 2016 Good eye Jake! I see the recoil starter handle too.
Racinbob 10,271 #12 Posted August 28, 2016 I think Jake nailed it. Besides the funky steering wheel the 603 carried over the earlier front axle. The 653 had electric start. The 633 gets my vote.
