Recommended Posts

Anybody heard of or seen the Brinly SS-500 drag harrow?

(as seen in Brinly attachments for :wh: brochure....)

Not much information on them other than they're kind of rare to find. Have a line on one, might have to pick up. Wondered if anyone else had one.

Jason,

I've seen them before and seen some on the local CL also.  I have a lot of info on Brinly stuff, but none on that type harrow, unfortunately.

Quite unique I'd say, looks like it fits up to a Brinly hitch as well as your slot adaptor.

Decent shape too!

Jumped at the chance today to get a start on freshening this up... after burning out my angle grinder with wire wheel (old cheapie that lived a good life) I spent the entire afternoon with a little gravity pot  sandblaster.

Went from here

To here today.

Hoping to be able to finish prep and maybe priming yet tomorrow .

Was digging through some old posts for something and realized I never updated with how this turned out.

As displayed last summer at shows.... The Brinly SS-500 Drag Spike Harrow.

You got it buddy! :greetings-clappingyellow: Threw in a couple extra pics just for drill.

So Jason comes in to the tent and dumps a box full of parts out. I first thought he was giving up the hobby was bored  and was gonna play with one of his kids old erector sets.Turns out he threw together a nice little drag harrow. My wife Cindy and one of our Iowa bros had a front row seat! Personally i think it came out so nice cause he put it together in such good company ( that nice 1067 to his back)! :ychain:

Hi I live in Green Bay Area are there any shows coming up this summer that  wheel horse  aficionados would be at. I see one in  Plainfield Wisconsin in June but that one I won’t be able to attend . Thank you. Rod

Hello Rod...too bad you can't make the one in Plainfield...  is usually a nice one. Keep an eye on the community calendar as I have several posted there. Specifically one in Symco near Manawa which is near you and of course the one in Portage which is only GT's and one of @CasualObserver favorites. There is also one in Burnett,  Dodge county and one in Berlin, Green Lake County. That one I personally will be bringing eight horses to plus @Achto will have four tractors there. Usually towards the end of the summer/fall for that one. Maybe Dan  will chime in with others.

Hi Rod... Garden Tractor Daze is July 12-14 at the fairgrounds in Portage... just southeast of the Dells. Several of the :wh: guys from the region have displayed there. It's a fairly young show, I think about 4 or 5 years now... but its all brands garden tractors show and swap meet. Draws a pretty good crowd and is a good time. I'll link some pics from past shows below. I think some of the other Sconnies set up at Berlin, Burnett, Edgerton and Symco too. @Achto @PeacemakerJack @Rp.wh @WHX17 @Deadguy @Snowmobileaddict

I see Jim beat me to this while I was looking for links! :D:thumbs:

@RJC1965 Check out this site. It has a real good listing of most of the shows going on in WI. @WHX17 is right about Symco, it is an awesome grounds with entertainment going on till midnight or later. :) One show that is real close to you is Valmy, by Sturgeon Bay, I have not been to this show yet but would like to check it out one of these years.

I plan on attending Tri County in Plainfield, Garden Tractor Daze in Portage, Symco, Dodge County in Burnette, North Central in Edgar, Rock River in Edgerton, Possibly Baraboo or Chilton, Pickett, Either Calumetville or Shanty Town, & Berlin this year.
