I wish I knew, when you get into these newer models there were a lot of different models, is there a tag on the other side?

The owner said he found a plate, i'm guessing like a serial number plate? He said it doesn't have a model number on it? I'm a noobie when it comes to wheel horse!

Its an early 80's lawn tractor (not a garden tractor). I would guess by the hood a 1980 -1984. Not worth a whole lot...be careful to not overpay.  If it needs anything expensive like a motor or tranny it's not worth the time or money to get it going.  And flipping a tractor like that to turn a profit can be very difficult.

 Just my opinion of course.

might not be worth the time or money in the end.

if it needs some work and you want a fun project go for it!:handgestures-thumbupright:

if in the end you feel it was worth the time and money then it was more then worth it,:twocents-02cents: of mine.

Possibly a B-85 with a 37" side discharge deck?

Vertical shaft B series.  i think the vertical shafts catch a bad rap, but they catch it none-the-less.  A fellow forum member refers to them as "Yuk!".  I think WH was trying to meet a price point to compete and did the best they could with a step down line.  No first hand experience but I'm guessing it's a first class LT (Lawn Tractor)!  Maybe even a LT on steroids!  But GT folks tend to hold their noses up so be warned and pay accordingly!

But notice I did NOT say not to buy!  It's still a WHEEL HORSE!  And I'm sure that most grass blades would bend in terror!  Just don't get in a pulling match with a WH GT.

But you just might get that for $200 or so!  Heck, the seat even looks good!  If she starts, runs and mows TRY to find ANYTHING new to outperform it for less than $2000!

But if you are hoping to get WH GT capability double check with others about what attachments fits it.  I don't know, but others here WILL!

My 2 cents anyway....

If it runs it is a great buy at $ 75. As @DennisThornton said, there is nothing wrong with a small vertical shaft :wh: if you just want to ride around and mow with it.

I don't understand how to use the ID tags. I went and bought it.

The tag says- 02-11BP05-13005 and under those numbers it says 1189. Does anyone have any idea?

Wow, i'm blind as a bat! I found it. Looks like its a B-115
