I'm hooked now.  I love the look of the 953 and 1054 tractors.  I've been following along since you bought it!

My Big Brother stopped by the house when I was working on it and he really liked it too. I even had to start it up for him. ;)

My biggest problem with the 953 I just picked up now is figuring out how to put the trans back together and seeing if I have all of the parts for it.  If not, I'll be on the hunt - wanna trade?:laughing-rofl:

Dells I hope you can find all your tranny parts and assemble it complete.

You might want to check the manual section and see if there is a transmission manual for the 953.

Good luck!! on your restoration. :handgestures-thumbupright:

I just replied in @dells68 953 post a bit of good news, the majority of the internal parts are the same as other three speeds so the options are not limited to 953/1054.

That's good news 953 !!! :handgestures-thumbupright:

Things might be a little easier to find and get the tranny going again.

Anxious to see Dells get his 953 back up and running. :)

Think I'm getting closer to sorting my trans out guys.  Great information and experience on here to pull from!  I love the look of these old 953 and 1054 tractors!!
