Parking paul/pall

is the pulley on the parking lever suppose to turn with the belt?

If you are referring to Sundstrand transmission where the parking/idler lever engages the transmission by tightening the belt, the answer is yes, it is supposed to rotate with the belt when engaged.

You beat me to it Ed....  :lol:

Since we don't know the year and model of your :wh: we can only assume if the pulley does not turn when engaged  the pulley bearing is locked up and you need a new pulley.    :)

Yes it is locked up like I thought. I am going to do a little work on it this evening! It is a 1976 C-120 Auto with a 12hp tech. Thanks for the help! I didn't know what it was called!

The part no is 7434 for the clutch idler pulley.        If you need the manual, go to the MANUALS section and search C-120.

 

My C-120 auto with the HH120 Tecumseh was my first :wh:, and still my favorite....great worker.
