Leaking 520H hydraulic actuator valve

Recommended Posts

DougC

Just removed mower deck from 1988 520H (had oil leaking all over rear center part of deck from tractor) removed side and top tunnel covers of tractor and blew out oily gunk, grass, crud, what have you and washed with brake clean and shop towels. My hyd. control valve has a small leak around shaft that lever moves in and out Makes a terrible mess and renders my high blood pressure medicine ineffective........ . Can these be rebuilt or is a used part in my future. I'm not even gonna check with my dealer, it would be $300 at least if still available.

I had one go bad a few years ago, and bought an entire used actuator for less than I could rebuild the old one.

I have not had any problems with leaks since the swap.

I agree.

If you can, get one with the hoses as well. I have had two hoses leak on my machines and make a mess.

I thought that new ones were the way to go but they are too stiff. The factory ones are quite flexible.
