A Little Serial Number Info Please

Recommended Posts

Wheel-N-It

I just replaced the left rear axle seal and hub on the little 701 I bought last year. Also picked up the right side cover for the engine/tranny belt at the Big Show, and put some AG's on the rear. BTW, all this good stuff was purchased at the Big Show. Anyway while working on it I keep noticing the serial number sticker and now my curiosity getting the best of me wanting to know what can be learned about the tractor from this number. Can someone shed some light on this? Thank you.

Gary has compiled quite a list of serial numbers, not sure what can be learned from it, but here it is.

Wheel Horse seldom published serial numbers.

This was one - 1962 serial 62-02856 and on have a bent shifter to clear the hydraulic pump.

Some serials that have been recorded for 1961
