When you have to depend on the government for healthcare, it is a nightmare. My heart goes out to you.

See if there is a McDonald house in close proximity to your son. No cost rooms for folks from out of town that have loved ones in the hospital.  Prayers for the best for your son.

I'm so happy to hear your son is making improvements, I can't imagine how hard this has been on all of you.  Thankfully he has a place to stay.

What is this Ford you speak of???:scratchead:

Just reading this now. Heartbroken as I read. Glad that he's on the right track, and being transported. Prayers sent you way.

Thanks for the update Mels and glad to hear things are at least a little better. Hats off to the BGF that is helping out ...she is truly a God's send  and is proof  our prayers do work in some small way. Will keep them forthcoming.

Thanks for the update.  I can fully understand your wife's concern about travel distance to see him. It can be very hard and trying to maintain a relationship with him and the medical staff taking care of him. My heart goes out to you.

Mels,

Thanks for the update.  It sounds like you have a positive attitude, which is truly needed in times like this.  God told Paul, "My Grace is sufficient for thee!".  Sometimes it's hard to see God's Grace when things go wrong, but as you mentioned in your post above, it could have been a lot worse.  I'll still pray for Mark, his GF, and you and your wife through this ordeal.
