Short Circuit 27 #1 Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) Hello all, I purchased an old Wheel Horse with a K321 that was used heavily for tilling for many years. When I bought the tractor, it had a knock above idle speed, so I decided to rebuild it. When I took the head off I found it already was at .030" oversize piston with lots of clearance. After removing the rod, it was a .010" undersize rod journal. I know .040" oversize pistons are available, as well as .020" rods. Has anyone had their engine bored to .040" and worked OK? rmaynard 14,888 #2 Posted June 6, 2016 There shouldn't be a problem. Or you could have it sleeved.
JAinVA 4,619 #3 Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) Short Circuit, Bob is spot on..040 over should not be a problem. .020 on the crank is no problem. The block could be sleeved but you can get a standard bore block relatively cheap(compared to sleeves) on E-bay.Joes outdoor power equipment normally has some listed there He is a member here and is a great source for used parts.Luck,JAinVa Edited June 6, 2016 by JAinVA
