scoob8000 29 #1 Posted May 16, 2016 I need at least one front tire on my 416. The PO let it sit for a long time on a flat and when I aired it up I got a nice bubble. Walmart has these for online order, free shipping to store. I can get two for the price TSC wants for one. I questioned 2 vs 4 ply, but the parts book lists a 2 ply tire anyway. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Carlisle-Turf-Saver-16X6.50-8-2-Ply-Lawn-and-Garden-Tire/23597559 Any tricks for mounting these, or just pay a tire shop to do it? And are there typically tubes in them or no? (Parts book shows them as optional).
clip 185 #2 Posted May 16, 2016 I've mounted them before but for free-$5 each tire shops do it with no sweat in 5 mins without tearing up the rim or the tire. Well worth it. Believe they're usually tubeless.
Racinbob 10,203 #3 Posted May 16, 2016 I just did it a few days ago when I put tubes in them. It's a pain and my Harbor Freight tire mounting thingy won't work on the fronts. I clamped a pipe in the vice and fought them.

Tankman 3,514 #5 Posted May 18, 2016 Great price on the tires! Mounted these before, a real pain n the you-know-what!
wrightorchid 261 #6 Posted May 18, 2016 It's worth it to have a tireshop do it. It only takes a few minutes, and since they don't have to mount or balance, they did mine for free. if you have one that is hard to seat, you need more air going in, than going out. The big compressors do the trick.

SylvanLakeWH 23,801 #8 Posted May 18, 2016 I'd go with tubes...Middle of winter if a seal breaks you are kapootz... Also - get tire store to mount...way less nonsense...
