Amazon replacement carbs

Has anyone ever used one of these replacement Kohler carbs from Amazon?  Went ahead and ordered one for my 16 HP K341.  The throttle shaft on the old one has so much play that I'm surprised the thing even runs at all.  I've heard plenty of good reviews and also plenty of jeers claiming they are cheap and don't work as well.  Looks like an exact copy of the Kohler carb.  I guess we'll see for certain tomorrow when I get it put on...

I have used a lot of BBT products. They work great. I have not used a BBT carburetor, but I have used several other Chinese carbs on K241's. They all worked great. I am not sure if BBT uses SAE hardware, but I would check to see if the screws and shafts and needle valves are all made to SAE specs or metric. The carburetors that I bought off eBay were all SAE and that was stated in the description.

I bought the same carburetor for my C165 and have no issues with it other than I had to adjust the needle and seat because too much fuel was coming in and flooding out the carb.  But, it starts easy and runs great.  I also bought on for a M12 on my 312-8 and had nothing but good luck with it.

How do you adjust the seat?  I've never had one of these Kohler carbs apart.

I should have probably said I adjusted the float and needle so they close against the seat and not just continuously let fuel flow in.  With the way the C165's carb was I had to slightly bend up the tab on the float that holds the needle.  The carb on the M12 I did not have to so maybe it is a quality control issue.

Yeah or possibly just bent from being jostled around by the mailman.

I purchased mine on Amazon also, but do not remember the brand. Only problem I had was the choke was not oriented correctly and I had to remove and reinstall it. Not a big problem though, considering the price. I think I only paid around $50 for it a couple of years ago.

Looking for a oem carburetor for a 1057 with a k241s. Currently running an aftermarket unit that came on tractor when purchased.

For Sale NOS M12S Short Block, still in the original box.  I bought it pre-emptively when Kohler was phasing out the Magnums.  Thought I would have it on hand if one of mine needed it, or maybe I would find a tractor with a busted rod for cheap.  Neither of those things happened, the darn things just keep running.

Part number 77 522 35, probably built in late '05, it's the combination replacement kit Kohler made to fit WheelHorse or Gravely, machined to bolt directly into the Gravely transaxle, but also has spacers to mount WheelHorse PTO clutch/brake.  Also has a bunch of gaskets and seals packed with it, probably all you need to install it.

And it's heavy, so it's not practical for me to ship.  Buyer arrange to pick up near Elida OH, I can lift it about knee high to help load.

Asking $800 or might consider trade for a good center mount grader blade.

Tractor features Kohler 16hp cast iron engine, gently used 42" deck, concrete wheel weights, tire chains, new Chinesium carburetor, fuel lines and filter, new air filter, 2 new fwd/rev cams.  A starter,  some new gaskets, and miscellaneous parts.  New drive belt and all the belt idler assemblies.  Engine runs but smokes.  Great restoration candidate or a spare engine for you pullers out there.  Call, text or email for a private showing.   No offers considered unless made in person.  Buyer responsible for transportation.  Many more pictures to send to interested persons.

Points were changed out for new the engine was cleaned to make good contact has new spark plug new coil condenser we even switched out the fly wheel today thinking maybe the magnet was weak…. Advice???   It would where are you out yanking on the recoil five or so times and maybe only get the points to fire twice if you’re lucky..  checked the gap and pull again… same thing over and over!  Thanks in advance!
