While this isn't a huge tractor show it is a good time and friendly folks, and maybe a stop in the store for a cold Pivo. and a tour of of a historic painted church

I plan to be there with 1 or 2 of my garden tractors. It would be great to meet some of the Texas Garden Tractor crowd there.

I grew up  in Fayette County and have a some family living near Moravia

In my youth, my grandfather from nearby Schulenburg would drive to the Moravia store for a cold " Pivo" and to play dominoes with friends  Us kids would play pool or run around outside....good memories.

Moravia is a old German Czech settlement  "spot" in the road between Schulenburg and Hallettsville,Tx  It is about 2+/- hours from Houston, San Antonio  and  Austin

The historic Moravia Catholic Church is also very nearby and is one of the "Painted Churches of Texas". The interior is hand painted to look like marble columns, angels, saints and Jesus on the ceiling, it's worth a visit even without a tractor show

Retired Sparky

Spent some really good times in TX., thanks to Uncle Sam.  The most in Del Rio.  I was there when Nixon cut the ribbon on the Amistad Dam.  I'll bet there's some big cat fish in there now.  B)

Well we've gone from drought to wet times in Central Texas, and the last 2 weeks have been really busy at the Dams where I work, and working this weekend.  Regrettable I won't be making it to this Moravia Tractor Show this weekend.  I hope to meet up with some of ya'll Texas guys in the future.

I always say our 1940 dams are like an old fancy Victorian house.  We've done a lot of major refurbishment but just like when you finish remodeling that old house, you learn the sewer line out to the street is leaking...and is made out of asbestos pipe!
