Went and picked up this C-120 auto that has been converted to a 8 speed. It has a bad trans. But has a good 12hp kohler and new ags all the way around and a awesome seat. So my plan is to put all this great stuff on the 312-8 and i will fix the trans on the C-120 later down the road.

Those replacement seats like that are freaking outrageous..

My neighbor bought one for his JD, almost just like that. cost him like $300-400 which is nuts. Triedtelling him I could find one cheaper but has more money than sense. LoL

Oh and nice scores Barry, you lucky dog!

Yah now you know why I hate auctions... Sounds like you were in a tractor buying mood. I like The C ...what wrong with the tranny??

The seat does look like the one from Northern and it is on sale for $107.00. That is cheap for this day and time.

I it won't pull it's self feels like a bad gear inside the trans it will faintly try to pull it's self.all the key ways look good and the belt looks new and is turning the pulleys but it just won't go

Have you shifted the High/Low range selector to make sure it isn't in between ranges?

Here's what I got. Had to change one spindle sense one on the 312-8 was bent very badly. It was so far out of alignment it had worn one of the front tires out but not the other.

Got the old trans out of the C-120. And put a old one that my dad had sitting in the barn in it and got it together enough to ride it around the yard. Hopefully I will have it back together tomorrow.
