Digger 66 3,476 #1 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) All you boys & girls who wanted a late March blizzard have ME to thank ! It will come ... I assure you ! Decided to start tearing down the 'ol '68 for a re-power & total "going through " ALSO : If there's anyone in my immediate area that would like this 6 HP Techy , $ 20.00 , it's yours . Has brand new carburetor , runs , doesn't smoke but it's a 68 & just don't have the time to go through it . Edited March 15, 2016 by Digger 66
JPWH 5,288 #2 Posted March 15, 2016 I don't know about a blizzard but we always have a couple days in the 30's in April here in Ga.
953 nut 51,018 #3 Posted March 15, 2016 Looks like Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois are about to get hammered again. Here in the mountains of NC we will have our normal subfreezing overnight and mid 50s daytime, fine by me.
Retired Sparky 526 #4 Posted March 15, 2016 Today was raw and breezy, not too much rain. Tomorrow in the 50's

Once I hit them with the 'ol "blue-tipped" hot wrench , they popped but still need some persuasion .
Digger 66 3,476 #13 Posted March 20, 2016 (edited) Posted Today, 10:52 AM Finished sandblasting the rims & hubs last week . Picked up a new key for the drive gear & a new rubber friction wheel . Finding parts for a nearly 50 year old blower is a chore but I just can't see tossing $ 1300.00 for a 'throw-away" blower . This thing's a frickin tank ! spark949 24 #14 Posted March 20, 2016 I had a Jacobsen thta looked alot like that. I was a tank too. It wore out and wore out and finally the engine blew. Sad ti see it go but it was time. I trades some labor to a guy, he bought me a new !1 horse Ariens at Homey. Glad I relly didnt pay for it, not a great blower. It's OK but its not as well built as the Jacobsen and goes through shear pins like they were balsa wood. I only use it now if I throw a belt on one of my Wheel Horse tractor mounted throwers. As for the March snow...first it was 12, then it was 3-7, then 2-4, then not muuch at all, today it's 1-3.....hmmm....I'll just wait...Im retired.
