My babies were all born in the wee hours of the night. Maybe tonight? :confusion-shrug:

Maybe...Dad hasn't been helping with the egg sitting lately.  I think she may be reluctant to leave. Probably wants to be on the eggs when they crack.

They may be holding off to be "EASTER EGGS".

4:55 PM today. She's getting impatient. She came back from a fly out and started tapping on one egg with her beak. Hello...anybody in there?

Quite dark out, but mama is really moving around quite a bit. Could it be?

8:30 AM   She just turned the eggs....no cracks yet.   Looks like we may get an Easter Eagle.  She's 3-4 day late.

She did work on that worrisome STICK for awhile.  Maybe I should drive over there  his morning, climb the tree and cut off the stick before she pokes out an eye.

No video Jay....I "chickened out" on climbing up the tree.   No hatch yet and only 6 hours till we could have an Easter Eagle.

Just saw the picture in Craig's post. Did both eggs crack and do we have twins ?   :confusion-confused:

Hard to say now.

when she first got off the eggs this morning...

I could still see what looks to be the same crack, unchanged from the image I posted last night.

Might have just been a small bit of fur, from an old kill in the nest that got temporarily attached to the egg...

as she just finished rolling them both again, and neither appear not to be cracked now.   :confusion-shrug:

On line search says the incubation period is pretty precise, almost exactly 35 days, and not all eggs hatch.

So...if the first egg was spotted on the 18th of Feb, doesn't that make today the 38th day since the first egg was laid.   :eusa-think:

No piping cracks yet, and it is becoming worrisome as they are 3-4 days overdue.      Looks like Poppa forgot to use his napkin after breakfast.

I've read...

they will sit on the eggs until they disintegrate too.

Yes, they are tenacious, and  I don't think they have a calendar to indicate when they should give up.

Looks like cracks to me in egg closest to left foot.
