All Eagle Nest Watchers...The're Baaaack

Yeah, I was out  raking stones in a Tee for a couple hours but the wind just kicked blowing in some cold air again.

I still wonder if she bailed out when that limb hit the nest or just stuck her head under her wing?

I checked the nest when I came in and there is a perfect  shadow picture of the camera on the tree just now.

I didn't see it happen, but it looks like between the two of them, they moved the offending stick.

I think you are right Bob.  That limb was restricting the nest area and making it more difficult for her to turn the eggs.

I just looked at the camera#1 time lapse for Feb 29, and you can see she was  moving the limb to the side.  No pic when she actually chucked it out of the nest though.

Maybe Craig caught it. I thing he is recording camera#1.

She just brought in two fists full of new straw and changed places with Poppa.

We were out to lunch this past Sunday at a place on Cayuga Lake. Lot's of geese ,swans and ducks in the water. A Bald Eagle came in and made a bee-line for the ducks. Word got out and all the ducks scattered in different directions. The Eagle finally landed on the ice and just sat there thoroughly pissed! :)

Ok, that one works Craig.    Thanks

Momma has been screeching last few minutes....Poppas probably late for the dinner exchange.

Beautiful 65F morning in the nest, but Momma looks distressed. She's panting like an overheated dog.  Surely she can't be too hot. I wonder if this is part of the incubation process in keeping the eggs in the proper temp range.

The heat wave is over...Momma's getting dumped on today.         I see her cousin In DC already hatched one of her eggs.

I seen on TWC where the nest in D.C. has fledglings now. I would think soon in Hanover also.

I do check on her 3-4 times /day.   If mother nature is correct, the first egg should crack on Wed.   I'm like a new father in the waiting room.
