After painting the hood?

Recommended Posts

Well I've painted the hood, it turned out really good. Now my question is do I wet sand it and/or apply a clear coat to it or just leave it alone? I will say this, the area I'll be mowing doesn't have shrubs or tree branches that will come in contact with the hood.

If it looks good, leave it alone.

:twocents-02cents:  Since it is a worker rather than a trailer queen I would leave well enough alone. If you get it too shiny and smooth every little hard  earned scratch or nick will stand out.

Workers I leave with original patina, I only paint ones that have no work in their future.

Looks good to me. I'd make sure it's dry all the way and the paint is not soft and do a hand wax job. Just my .02
