rear hitches interchange?

i was wondering if anyone knows if the hitch from a 1979 c-161 would work on my 1961 551? i would like to have the option of moving trailers. the hitch i guess is used for putting towing ball on it (like a 2" ball or something. i have a boat and a bunch of trailers and when i have to move them by hand a good distance through tall grass, it's not fun and my far is too low to go through there!

If you mean the drawbar hitch, then yes it will fit.

But you may want some weight in the nose of that 551...

for sure it'll need some weight....but we don't have gators here guys....i could use a polar bear?
