rubber bumpers?

Recommended Posts

hi men, is there a source for "rubber bumpers" where say a flip up fender pan hits the cross brace when latched in the down postion?  also the fender pan always rubs the upward part of the floorboard.  any ideas on how to cushion that area?  thank you mike in mass.

Small rubber hose, slit it from one end to the other and put on the edge...or an old inner tube glued down to the cross bar?

Or 3Mshould make some sort of stick on pads for cushioning.

I get these "push in rubber bumpers" from ebay, they are 1" diameter and 5/16" thick, I sand them down
on a belt sander for a good fit usually a little less than 1/4"

I use auto door edge trim on the pan where it rubs the upper part of the running boards. I also use it on the back of the pan where it rubs the tires when it is in the up position. I have a B 80, show tractor that I put the door edge all the way around the pan...looks good too.
