Snowblower

Hey guys,
       Just curious for your opinion.I now have two blowers,a short chute 4200 series and a tall chute that has been converted from a vertical shaft configuration.What performance differences (wet vs dry snow) can I expect from the chute designs.Both will get used if we get the occasional foot of snow but I'd like to know what the members here think.As always

I only have a tall chute and it works great in powdery snow.  Even in wet snow it is acceptable.  It does not work well if you have snow that is really wet (think 6 inches of snow, followed by rain so that the snow is now only 2 inches of wet slush)-the chute gets plugged.

I was stationed in Yorktown one winter ('69-'70) and If I remember correctly, it was a damp cold. Either snowthrower should be similar with the tall chute better when it is dry snow. The limiting factor is the throat of both if it is a wet snow. It is better to plow a wet snow.
