Got a New Driveway

Looks good! Now you made me hungry for Mexican food. El Savadorian food that we have here is good - but not the same. I'd rather a tamale than a popusa.

Is watching concrete dry as satisfying as paint? :D It takes longer I'm sure.

Any Dino prints in the crete? :)

I,m going to be 57 in a few months and have never had the luxury of a concrete or blacktop drivways. Closest I'll come is when they make my concrete vault!

Watch the road salt on that new concrete.  It will eat it up.

Driveway looks great!  Lots of parking room.  Not much grass left for the horses though!

Looks great Steve. Cant beat new concrete. I got my top done this Summer. 19 yards. Gonna do the rest next Summer. About 15 yards I estimate. Should make plowing a lot easier.

I know SteveBo....not many concrete driveways here in Connecticut. Its asphalt 98% here.
Looks good Steve....you run chains? Are ya still going to? It would be terrible to mark up all that virgin 'crete
 !

Steve that looks pretty nice. So nice you may want to try these and give us a report of how they handle the good old lake effect snow there in Chicagoland.  After working that old driveway for so long, is your blade level enough to work on that new flat surface? :scratchead:

   Good choice, my concrete driveway cost about twenty percent more than asphalt, but will last twice as long, no brainer to me.    :text-bravo:

Driveway looks good. Have you applied curing compound or sealer?

Hmmm...  Five hours later and no response.  I wonder what Steve's doing right now. :)

I need to know 4 things:

What is the yellowish stuff?
Why isn't there a closeup of the custom front hitch?  It's design and perhaps a Sketch Up link?
Who is the little fellow doing all the work?
Who is the guy on the round hood dominating several of the shots?

Oh!  And tell the little guy, "Nice job!"!

I used to use chains sometimes...I will not be using them this year.  We use the driveway for too many things, blacktop would be way too hot in the summer.  It is already sealed and I intend to use the blower more this year.  The little guy is the son of the guy in the yellow/green shirt in the same picture.  He was crawling all over my horses and I let his dad take him for a ride on the 702 around the block. :)  Dennis, the yellow stuff is gravel also...it just came out of a different yard...it was Saturday.
Here is the link on that front hitch...  :)
