WH GT 14 1-7451 630911

Widows Son

I picked up a WH GT 14 Model # 1-7451 Serial # 630911

It is missing the mower deck but we hooked it up to a jump box, poured a little gas down the carb and got it to kick over. After a little tinkering it would sit an idol. The wiring is trashed but overall it seems to be in solid mechanical shape!

I am planning to clean it up to use it in parades. At first, I just need to get it in good running order. I have not decided if I am going to to take it back original or turn it into a flashy custom ride.

Where  is the best place to find parts? Right now I am looking for:

2 Front tubes, may have to replace the tires too
Drive belt
Throttle and choke cables
Seat pads

That is about all I need to get it in operational condition. As near as I can tell it is a 1970 model. Is there some place to find the original manuals for these, or even scans?

:WRS:    Manuals for just about anything Wheel Horse can be found in our downloads section.

I think Tractor Supply should have most of what you are seeking,

As far a pics, once you decide you plan to stick around, become a forum supporter. It clears a lot of hurdles.

As far as parts, use the wanted section of the forum and ask for what you need. Many times you will get lucky.

E-bay is usually my next stop.

i am re-doing a GT-14 currently.

For or me it was easier to buy a second tractor for parts.

the rear tires are difficult to replace due to size. Options are out there but Pricey. Only AG's available are 7.6's I believe.

fronts are easier. Tubes available at tractor supply and other sources.

The he impliments for the GT14 were unique to it for the most part limiting availability. I chose to add the Tach-a-matic so I can use impliments which are more common. As far as mower decks mostly.

3 points are desirable. There is a forum member that makes reproductions.

finally, make use of the search function as much of what you will wish answers to is already documented.

looking forward to seeing pics and following along with your project.

Welcome to the forum!
