Sorry - don't know the height. The blade on my later 50" model is 7-11/16" high.

Mine is worn on the bottom of the blade, but measures about 7 1/8" high.

I built a 48" grader blade using a 6" high replace blade off a road grader.  The blade was 60" I cut a foot off .

During August a friend of mine from the north of the country ( Norm ) came down to a couple of southern shows and stay with me for a week so to stop him being bored we decided to have a little challenge and make 2 mid mounted grader blades. it worked out to be 3 days

Should be more pictures!

I'm at the point of just building one if I have to drive 3 hours one way and pay $350...

I may start another thread, heck if I search I might even find a thread, but it would be nice to know the basic dimensions if a guy was thinking about building a mid-mount blade, whether axle hitch mount or center Tach-a-Matic mount, or as I think of it push or pull mount.  I have the materials including a heavy duty blade and I can certainly weld.

Materials we used were 2 pieces of 1/4 plate 48" x 7" a few bits of angle iron and rod from the scrap bin and a mounting plate from an old mower deck

Just takes a few minutes to fit and first tests were very successful, we can use the blade straight or angle it either way

Excellent job!! Very clean. One view I don't see and am curious of, how did you accomplish your pivot lock and can you adjust it without getting on/off the tractor?

I have to get off the tractor to adjust, it has 3 settings by pulling a pin set the angle required and drop the pin back in.

i will do you a photo tomorrow in the daylight

Awesome job/project well done guys you have inspired me ,as I have the cutting edge from a road grader laying around and may know a place or 2 for some "cheap" "off brand" snow plows to modify for the 520's and the xi's,Jeff.

The first show we took them to had a working area and trying them out decided that there wasn't enough ground clearance on rough stuff so I did a slight mod to mine and I think Norm did the same. here's a couple more photos
