Had to drill one of the bolts out in the mesh that covers the shroud..broke off when I went to take it off...but drilled out okay and new bolt went in OK...thankfully

Also had to tinker with the throttle...kept going back in to idle...its a little better now but not up to par...any ideas? Would be appreciated

Painting gas tank and clamp...God only knows how long it'll take to dry....pouring down rain outside now...frekin humidity

You can try to pinch the rivet tighter in the throttle control. The pivot has to be tight enough to overcome the governor spring tension plus the pull the governor develops when it is working.

I remove the rivet and replace it with about a 1-1/2" long bolt. Using a long bolt gives you about 1/4"-5/16" of bolt shaft that is not threaded and that is where the lever and bracket ride so they do not ride on bolt threads and wear. Shim as necessary with flat washers and add a Nyloc nut. Cut of the extra threads. Put it back together and you can reach in with 2 wrenches and adjust to the tension that is required to hold it with the engine running.
