C195 wheel weights

Recommended Posts

lawnboy63

I've been looking for wheel weights for a C195 for some time with no luck so I'm thinking of having some cast. What I was hoping is that someone who actually has a set could take extensive pictures and provide detailed dimensions so that the pattern maker could replicate them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

How far along in the process are you?
Where are you located?

If you two could get together and get them cast by the same company you would probably save a few bob. I was looking at getting a plaque cast for my tractor in memory of a friend and it was cheaper to get 10 cast than it was the one.
you could get a small batch together, get people who wants them to pay a deposit or something??
have fun finding a business to cast them, that sort of industry is really fading unless its mass production unfortunately,

Basically just starting, I'm in Toledo as it says. Curious to what your price is versus the price I pay?? I've done aluminum and cast. Know people at each foundry

Trouty56, would it be to much to ask for a pic of the backside of the weights?

Bob, thanks for all the pics and info that you provided. I've got a meeting scheduled for Monday at the foundry. Just from the conversation I had with them their thinking cost for a weight of 50-60 lbs would be around $1 per lb. plus the cost of the pattern.
After I talk with them I may decide to make my own pattern.

Looks like the indent on the top is more like an inch on that last photo......if you made it flush across you would probably gain 10-12 lbs..... Edited by Trouty56

The indents are cast that way so that the weights will stack and still be centered. You could put 2, 3, or more on each side if you had longer mounting bolts. I don't think I would make them flat, just get a couple more cast and stack them.

Here is a pic of mine. Probably all of 60 to 75 lbs, I found them at the scrap yard for .25 a pound. I wish I could find more like that!
