I do not have a weight box, but I have seen tractors with a loader and it appears to me that the weight box fits onto the back of the sub-frame of the loader.

I have a loader for my D-200 and that is how it looks to me.  Just my 2 cents worth.

I took the weight box from the loader and mounted it on a 418-C which uses a 2 stage blower. Originally it mounted to the subframe of the loader but I just welded on some flat steel with 2 holes to clamp onto the square parts of the trans case. Uses 2 supports, 1 mounted to each side

I've got a custom box here that I'm told was fabbed up to fit an eight speed...

seems the oil filters are going to be in in the way for it to mount up to either a Sustrand, or Eaton hydro unit.

I'll try to get a pict posted up of what I'm working with tomorrow.

Ultimately, it might be easier just to move the FEL instead.   :eusa-doh:

Craig, How about one of those custom square tube rear hitches and weld a stub on the box to slide into the hitch?

As Wallfish drew above. They slide into the hollow tubes of the subframe then when the holes on each piece line up, you drop a thick pin through them to hold in place.

Why don't you get an 8 speed to go with your weight box?

I'm currently using the same receiver mount that squonk has.

One of my tractors came with a bracket that bolted to the rear axle, on the top in the place where you would bolt on a rear mount for a push blade.

It shared load by also using a short flat bar attached to the rear hitch drawbar, and had an eyebolt holding those together that was connected to the seat mount for added support.  The box itself was made of steel plate weighing over 100 pounds, and I never added more than another #100.

I think the 2' receiver is much stronger, and is also more versatile.

(Box has been removed in this photo to show mount details)

Rediscovered I had this old thing hiding out in the magic :wh: shed.

Came with, and manufactured by the original owner of my 520...

configured with my additional plates, I'm estimating its weight now to be around 175 lbs.

I made this up for my 8 speed, but it shouldn't be different for the hydro -
