Picked up C125. No idea...

The black knob on the front of tractor just below the hood. Turn it counter clockwise, that should tighten your belt as long as a failure of the pulleys hasnt happened.

I assume the mule drive is still on and PTO belt runs round it and to the deck drive pulley? There should be a knob on the front of the mule drive. That adjusts the belt tension.

Ah, er, I wondered what that was for. Feeling stupid now, but thank you as I literally couldn't find this info anywhere. 

 

Yes, mule drive pulleys still.on and belt runs where it should. It will drive the mower deck (just) but slips due to the slack. 

 

I've called my dad and he can give it a try this week. I'll report back.

 

I think he also has Kevlar belts, and not genuine Toro belts, which all advice I've read so far says use the Toro belts due to the V pulley shape.

Your mower deck has 3/4" keyed spindles on the two outer ones . It appears to me that the center spindle may be metric. Measure the top to see, If metric the top where the pulley goes will be 5/8". The next picture down the pipe and cap is the engine oil drain.
