I have a 212-5 that needs a new electric clutch/pto. I got the old one off & the part # on it is Warner 5210-28. I can't find that part # anywhere. Is there any other part #s that will work as a replacement? If not does anyone know where i can find a 5210-28?

I have the 12.5hp Onan power plus engine if that makes any difference.

Ok, far as i can tell toro 112849 is what my mower calls for and was replaced by 99-8011. I can find this part # but cheapest i seen is $375. This one appears to be the same but just a bigger pully & it's $144. Any reason not to just use it w/a longer belt?

I needed one for my 211-5 about 10 years ago.  They weren't cheap then either, I never got it fixed.  I talked to one or two people on here who gave me hints on what they did to fix their pto's.  If I can find the info, I'll post it here for you, but I wouldn't go for a pto with a different size pulley because the pulley will change the speed of the blades (Sorry, I'm terrible at picturing pulleys, so I can't tell you if it would speed them up or slow them down).  To keep it safe, you should try to find the same size pulley.

The pully i have is 4.75 the one pictured above is 5.345. Would .595 really speed the blades up enough for it to be a problem?

Honestly, I do not have an idea how much it would change it, sorry.  But I looked up my old topic, and all the person said was that they found the same pto from an MTD tractor.

Thats a 12.5% increase. Doesnt seem like that big of a difference but it can push all the bearings/spindles and blades past their safe designed speed. It will cause them to wear out faster and possibly break at speed causing a big danger.

Also it will require more horsepower from the engine (most likely it will require MORE than an additional 12.5% of the horsepower because wind resistance of the blade increases exponentially with speed)

Ok i finally found my pto. It ended up being a 5215-111. Now i need to replace the rubber cap that goes over the pto stop ( peg that sticks down into the pto to keep it from turning w/the crankshaft) any idea where to look or what the actual name of this part is?
