varosd 1,185 #1 Posted March 24, 2015 I bought a used 14 x 16 Dutch style shed door is on the side not the ends and its all about drips coming off the roof. regular gutters would be too big. have seen mobile home gutters but not sure if they would work. only seen them on internet. I could just tuck some metal or vinyl J channel under the shingles above the door. tilt it so the water would run off. any thoughts?
stevasaurus 22,229 #2 Posted March 25, 2015 The J-channel way is probably the way to go...seriously Don. If you want to make your own...half round PVC may work for you.
varosd 1,185 #3 Posted March 25, 2015 Thanks Dino! Here is some pictures when I went to buy it. some typical rot at the bottom the the T1-11 plywood siding. the rim joist, etc are all solid. I will cut out the rot and just replace with same siding but looking at vinyl siding it. owner changed his mind and wanted off his land ASAP and I had to get it moved to one side of my driveway until the site is dug out and graveled. digging out this weekend. stevasaurus 22,229 #7 Posted March 26, 2015 Ya Don, I was thinking with the doors on that side, you would have little to no room to hang a real gutter.
varosd 1,185 #8 Posted March 26, 2015 nice shed, but how come this is dutch style, haven't seen many in that style over here They really mean Deutsche as in German. folks here in Pennsylvania just started calling them Dutch the actual roof style is also known as Gambrel
