Hi I just bought a Toro wheel horse 14-38 hxl and I wonder which year model  it is and if parts from other models fits my lawn tractor. These are the serial number: 2m2jp75.jpg

Not knowing what language you prefer you can download an operator manual and more from Toro

https://lookup3.toro.com/request/request.cfm

Just need to enter the 71217 model number and 7901018 serial number.

14-38HXL is the model name.

This model has 5 different model numbers.

When the same model number was used more than one year the serial number identifies the model year.

I have a Briggs & Stratton 15.5hp engine but I don´t know which year it is or which model. I have my Toro at my cabin so I can not look at the serial plate but I took this pics last time. Anyone that recognize the year and the model of this B&S?  post-14787-0-02898400-1426179076_thumb.jpost-14787-0-04379200-1426179096_thumb.jpost-14787-0-81513500-1426179102_thumb.j

I can't tell from the photos but this is what Toro has listed

The Details and Attachment file shows the engine model and the tractor illustrated parts list includes the ipl for the engine.

The end of the sticker looks like BUILD DATE but can't read the numbers.

Toro says 14hp and the engine 15.5hp. Perhaps the engine has been replaced?

Model number is 31E677

Engine type is 0120

Trim is B1

The serial or code is 080108ZA

08 = Built in 2008

01 = January

08 = 8th day

ZA I believe is the factory that built the engine.

You can download the engine manuals from

http://www.briggsandstratton.com/us/en

Find the manuals and go until you see 2 boxes to enter the model numbers. 31E677 in one and 0120 in the other. When it comes up the B1 is included.

These are copyrighted or I would post in our files so you could get them there. Let us know if you have trouble.

The engine numbers are different than we usually see so perhaps this one is manufactured in Europe.
