Power increase for Charger 12

I have had great success with my Electro12 and plowing this winter.  The limited slip and weight are what you need to plow not HP.

 

 

I have a Charger 12 that I used a few years ago and found to not quite be up to running  single stage blower with wings.  Would do it but it was a struggle. I am using a 418A now for blower duties...but even with 50 lb weights on each wheel and 50 on the drawbar and chains she doesn't do that well on hard packed snow/ice especially when you lift the blower and try to back up even a slight grade.

 

The Chargers limited slip worked better with the same weigh combo.  I have an under utilized C175 -8 with a Series 2 Kt17 also a C160-8 K341.  The KT17 is a new short block (about 150 hours) I do not know the history on the K-341 she does not smoke but....

 

Which motor would you swap into the Charger???

The K341 combined with the limited slip would be an awesome combination for the Charger 12.  It would be a Charger 16.  Terry could make you some custom decals for it.

 

I like the KT17 2 also, but the K341 would be more in keeping with the single cylinder engine in the Charger 12 and would likely be an easier transplant.
