Bmsgraffer got me to thinking with his post about the group buy on the suit case weights so I thought I would try to make up sum weights and a mounting bar and post sum pics as I go the weights I made are no near the 40 pounds each but more in the 8 to 9 pounds each range but I think they will still serve a purpose I cut out 7 of them from 5/8 steel 4 are out of stainless steal 69fc750011c2b8f329852b2c6fada604.jpg434d28d12bdf007804667cb3ccf8437f.jpgI will post sum more pics when I get a mounting bar made up

wow! Stainless! Those look nice, they will look good all bolted up!

Yea, I considered having some cut, but since I don't have any steel laying around (or a way to cut them) it's more expensive, so I'm stuck buying them still. :banghead:

It would cost a lot for the metal but I cut them out at work from scrap on the CNC plasma I still have to pay for it but its a lot cheaper

I got my mounting bar made tonight I went the simple route and just used a 2" × 30" piece of 1/4 " steel and broke it on the break press at work I think it will hold up fine 0372956f9a92f552aa35a05b2a4e1506.jpg02c031ccca44b5ed5d0223ed2b7a81c8.jpg9ef29eb3bf5581fa70123b0eff9dd684.jpgI also noticed that I probably could hang a couple of these weights from a rear hitch if I wanted to add sum weight to the back of the horse

Tom.

Wow they look great. I am considering adding some weight to the front of my 312, do you find it makes the steering any heavier?
