chevrat68 19 #1 Posted February 17, 2015 Well living in Boston this year we have had a lot of snow just to say the least. About 8 feet in the past 4 weeks and the horses are getting a work out and finding all the weaknesses. I'm out of commission for the snow but the wife, daughter and her boyfriend are keeping up with it. Problems in had this winter are a blown engine in the 72 raider 14 with snow blower attached and smoked bearings on the drive idler and snapped belt on the 312-8. 72 will be down until I can get around again so repaired the 312 and removed front blade from that and installed blower. Just a couple of picks.

chevrat68 19 #4 Posted February 17, 2015 The bottom pic is the raider 14 in the first storm. The top is the 312. Had surgery on my left ankle on December 29 and just started putting weight on it. So no clutch foot.

Pollack Pete 2,273 #6 Posted February 17, 2015 I hear ya.The Squaws little sister live on Cape Cod.They talked on the phone a little while ago.I guess they got another 6 inches today.Blizzard conditions, she said.I know what you mean about all this snow being rough on equipment.I had many break downs this year clearing many 12 and 14 inch snow falls.I'm ready for Spring. Then I can break lawn mower decks instead of snow blower attachments.

Racinbob 10,276 #8 Posted February 17, 2015 Awesome pics chev. Thanks for sharing. I'm betting you're frustrated because you can't get out there for some fun. I hope that ankle heals up quickly.

Ed Kennell 35,764 #10 Posted February 17, 2015 Keep the faith Chevrat...spring will come and that ankle will heal. Then get those horses healed up for next winter. That amount of snow cover would give me cabin fever without a bum ankle.
Sparky-(Admin) 19,539 #11 Posted February 18, 2015 And I thought we were up to our fill with snow here in Connecticut. You guys got it bad!!! Mike..........
chevrat68 19 #12 Posted February 18, 2015 well I grew up by lake Ontario, so I do know snow but this is a lot by any standard. Here we don't have a lot of places to put it. That's the biggest problem. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
chevrat68 19 #13 Posted February 19, 2015 Oh that's my 16 year old daughter blowing snow on the horses. She has done a great job with just a little instruction. I tried to tell her to get the snow banks back further for future snow but she is now regretting it. Lesson learned the hard way. 953 nut 51,650 #14 Posted February 28, 2015 Just heard on the evening news that Boston is only 5" short of a record snowfall and another storm is coming. It would be a shame to go through all of this and Not set a record.

Tankman 3,515 #18 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Grandsons love the snow, I hate them! One of their favorites the '85 416-8 does the work! I want to install the mower decks, shorts, sandals, Rolling Rock ponies. http://youtu.be/Ug8cBIbxDaY Edited February 28, 2015 by Tankman
