David Upton 11 #1 Posted January 10, 2015 Looking to offload from my pickup a C-160 standard with no attachments. I have aluminum folding ramps rated at 600 lbs. Anyone know how much this tractor weighs? Thanks in advance.
doc724 924 #2 Posted January 10, 2015 About 600 pounds for an eight speed, 640 for a hydro. This is from a WH 1978 brochure (which should be close enough for you).
AMC RULES 36,945 #3 Posted January 10, 2015 Based on that... you should think about using ramps with a higher weight capacity.
varosd 1,185 #4 Posted January 10, 2015 while I do not have a pickup, I do have some folding ramps. find a hill or curb to try to make the ramps less "ramp" like. don't ride the tractor, instead walk it up and cut the throttle after you get it up onto the bed. less chance of earning the coveted Red Square "Whoops!" helmet.

baerpath 517 #13 Posted January 14, 2015 I ride my C175 up my ramps. I think they're rated at 1200 lbs. My son did that once, it slid off the ramp and was falling onto him. I caught it and pushed it onto the truck so he didn't get hurt. I wasn't so lucky Tractor was weighted to 1000lbs That's why I hate seeing people ride up their ramps

David Upton 11 #16 Posted January 16, 2015 Thank you one and all for these safety minded tips which after all is priority one. I was sucessful in "walking" it down by adding regular car ramps to the folding ones I had. However a small trailer with built in ramp is for sure in my future transportation issues. Thank you once again.
